The ClearSkin Acne Treatment combines the Harmony XL Pro non-ablative laser with cooling and vacuum technology to treat acne and stimulate collagen renewal.

This advanced laser treatment can be used to treat all forms of acne vulgaris – including papules, pustules and nodules – and reduce the appearance of acne scars, leaving skin smoother and clearer.

The ClearSkin Acne Treatment is suitable for all skin types and requires no downtime. A patch test is required before your treatment begins to confirm your suitability for treatment.

A course of 4–6 treatments is recommended for optimum results. Each treatment is carried out 1–3 weeks apart, and every 6 months thereafter, depending on the skin condition.

Unlike topical creams that sit on the surface, ClearSkin uses a non-ablative Er:Glass laser (1540nm) that penetrates deep into the dermis. It works through a “triple action” process:

  • Heat: The laser destroys the P. acnes bacteria and thermally damages sebaceous (oil) glands to reduce sebum production.

  • Vacuum: An integrated vacuum extracts trapped oil, dead skin cells, and debris from the pores.

  • Cooling: A cooling tip protects the surface of your skin, making the process comfortable and preventing surface damage.

Most patients describe the sensation as a mild warming or tingling rather than pain. Because the laser is “non-ablative,” it doesn’t vaporize the top layer of your skin. The built-in cooling system constantly soothes the area, so you typically won’t need any numbing cream.

While some people see a reduction in inflammation after just one session, a full course is usually required for long-term clearance.

There is minimal to no downtime. You might experience some redness or slight swelling (similar to a mild sunburn) for a few hours after the procedure, but this usually subsides by the next day. You can return to work immediately and apply makeup within 24 hours.
