Laser for Rosacea

and thread veins

The Laser for Rosacea and Thread Veins treatment uses a non-ablative laser to treat vascular lesions of varying sizes and depths.

Your therapist will use a combination of technologies – including the Harmony XL Pro laser treatment – to target the affected blood vessels beneath the skin, leaving you with improved, smoother and clearer skin.

This effective treatment can be used to treat broken capillaries, rosacea, spider nevi and facial flashing.

A course of 6–8 treatments is recommended for optimum results. Each treatment is carried out 3–6 weeks apart depending on the skin condition. A patch test is also required 48–72 hours before your treatment begins to confirm your suitability for treatment.

The laser emits a specific wavelength of light that is absorbed by the hemoglobin (the red color) in your blood. This energy converts to heat, causing the vein wall to collapse and seal shut. Once the vein is closed, the body naturally re-routes blood flow to deeper, healthy veins and gradually absorbs the old vessel, making it disappear from the surface.

While there is no permanent cure for Rosacea, laser therapy is the most effective way to manage the symptoms. It works by destroying the tiny surface capillaries that cause the permanent “flushed” look and facial redness. Most clients see a significant reduction in flare-ups and a much calmer, more even complexion after a course of treatment.

The specific veins successfully treated and dissolved by the laser will not return. However, if you are prone to thread veins (due to genetics, lifestyle, or Rosacea), new ones may develop over time. We recommend a “maintenance” session once or twice a year to keep the skin clear.

Yes. The Harmony XL Pro system is incredibly precise. We can target individual “spider veins” around the nostrils or on the cheeks without affecting the surrounding skin. The integrated cooling system also ensures that the delicate skin in these areas is protected throughout the process.

To get the best results, you should avoid anything that causes your blood vessels to dilate (expand) for at least 48 hours:

  • Heat: Hot showers, saunas, and steam rooms.

  • Alcohol: Especially red wine, which is a known vasodilator.

  • Spicy Foods: Which can trigger a “flush.”

  • Intense Exercise: Avoid heavy cardio for 2 days to let the treated vessels remain sealed.
